Susan Atkins-- Child of God

I was very deeply touched by a video I watched yesterday where Susan Atkins and her family are requesting a "Compassionate Release". Susan is dying of brain cancer and was given only 6 months to live.

Manson Murderer Pleads For Mercy


I was touched so deeply that I wrote a letter to her husband. At the end of the video Susan mentions that Charles Manson has been the hardest person for her to forgive. I pray that Susan gives herself the gift of forgiveness before she leaves this long difficult journey.

After watching the video I experienced God's Grace this touched me on an even deeper level as I spoke to my beloved Jeremy. I realized in that moment that I had not expected Grace that I had been willing to LOVE someone that had in the world's view done something horribly wrong.  This is a huge shift  for me not just for me,but also for this planet. As most of you know as we heal ourselves we heal this planet. Tremendous work is being done inside each and everyone of us.

As I drove to pick Jeremy up from work a sermon was on the radio where a lovely message was shared with me. The speaker mentioned how we aren't the same person  from a material (DNA) perspective and that when someone commits a crime we're not the same person we were even 7 years ago. He also mentioned how difficult it would be to convince a jury of this. He was speaking more on a scientific physical level how there's no way that we are the same person that committed the crime because we all go through changes from a genetic perspective every 7 years. He didn't use these exact words,but that was definitely the message he was giving.

This message really spoke to me on a deep level infact it's still bouncing around reconfiguring my DNA in this moment.  This is truly helping me on my own journey
to Self Forgiveness. For I too have hurt several people along the way and I am very
grateful that I am rediscovering that through it all I am still that LOVE that breathes
life into all of us.  That nothing I have said or done to others can ever seperate me
from this Truth.

I titled this Child of God because Susan wrote a book in the 70's titled Child of Satan Child of God...It's noted on her website that she wasn't the one to choose the title and the name of it always offended her.

ABCNEWS.COM has a place to leave messages regarding her families request for Compassionate Release and it's not surprising to note that many are posting messages of unforgiveness for her participation in the murders she committed with Manson's other followers.

I am learning that to be Christ Like is not about convincing others of the truth you have come to know on your journey. It's about shining your light even when those around you choose to live from a false ego perspective that doesn't allow forgiveness for ALL.
